Yeo Workshop is a gallery committed to contemporary art in Singapore. Based in Singapore’s Gillman Barracks district, the gallery features the works of cutting-edge Southeast Asian artists. From artists who employ more traditional techniques and mediums to those who tap on new technologies and innovation such as CGI and AI, Yeo Workshop champions a diverse roster of artists whose practice reflect deep engagement with our contemporary socio-cultural landscape, to stimulate dialogue and critical discourse. In addition to its exhibition programming, it actively engages with the global art world through regular participation at international art fairs including Frieze Seoul, Asia Now Paris and Art Dubai. Covering a multi-disciplinary approach, the gallery defines itself by its progressive engagements that strive to shape the trajectory of contemporary art in Southeast Asia and beyond.
We are currently looking for an intern to join our gallery and assist us with our various projects, programmes and exhibitions starting in end of January 2025, for a minimum period of 3 months. You will gain a wealth of experience and be encouraged to develop an area of interest with the guidance of the gallery to realise a major project or goal by the end of your internship.

Main activities / Responsibilities
- Assisting with and leading Social Media marketing campaigns
- Assisting with handling artworks and creating promotional materials
- Supporting gallery exhibitions including installation, de-installation and the curatorial process
- Filing of documents and keeping organised records
- Ensuring the gallery is well organised and clean: Opening the gallery on-time, making sure it is clean and sufficient material is available, closing the gallery making sure all power is shut down and gallery is left in an agreeable state (shared responsibility with Gallery Assistant)
- Organising and Welcoming guests and conducting tours for students, curators and making and preparing sales pitches for collectors and clients
Programmes & Events
- Creating communication material such as posters, flyers, etc.
- Draft and distribute event invitations to guests and maintain RSVP records.
- Provide on-site support during events, including guest reception and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the team to create event schedules.
- Preparing logistics for talks, lectures, dinners etc (shared responsibility)
- Managing technical processes and equipment (shared responsibility)
Communications
- Updating all communication channels including our Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, etc
- Creating press releases and handling press contacts related to the current exhibition
- (shared responsibility)
- Managing all external forms of communications e.g. our mailer/ e-newsletter
- Liaising with our clients and clients
Requirements
- Have or working towards a degree in Visual Arts/ Arts Management/ Art History/ Curatorial Studies/ Design/Media
- Experience with social media/content-creation/photography/videography/video-editing is a bonus
- Able to work at least 1 day during weekend
- Basic graphic design skills
- Open to learning new skills
- Moderately tech savvy or open to learning new technology, software or equipment when needed for managing office processes
- Proficient in speaking and writing English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and/or Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop is a bonus
