We are looking to hire a hard-working and efficient Commis to prepare ingredients and dishes and assist with various kitchen duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Head Chef
- Setting up various kitchen workstations
- Preparing and producing mise en place
- Upholding food quality and kitchen hygiene standards at all times
- Avoid and minimise food wastage, adhering to cost control measures by accurately measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions.
- Complying with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the outlet
- Maintaining the cleanliness and serviceability of kitchen equipment and work environment
Your Profile
- Possess a certificate in Culinary Skills / GCE 'O' level or equivalent
- Prior work experience would be an advantage
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, preparation, and procedures
- Team player, preferably with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive service attitude, coachable, willingness to learn
- Well-groomed and a can-do attitude.
- Able to work 6 days work week, shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Applicants residing in JB, Malaysia must possess their own vehicle.
- Able to start work immediately.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,500.00 per month
