With the increase in demand for innovative financing and transaction options for the infrastructure and renewables sector, JLL is looking for an experienced expert to join their recently launched Asia Pacific Energy & Infrastructure business in Singapore. The joint forces of decarbonisation, digitalisation, economic growth and urbanization across the Asia Pacific region are creating an unprecedented requirement for investment in renewable generation and storage as well as broader decarbonisation focused infrastructure. The size of investment required from the private sector creates an enormous opportunity for institutions able to effectively and independently mobilise strategic and institutional capital into the real asset sector across Asia Pacific.

Reporting into the Head of Energy & infrastructure | APAC, in this newly created leadership position, you will work in collaboration with the broader APAC E&I team (across Singapore and Australia) and the market leading JLL EMEA Energy & Infrastructure Advisory business, adopting their broad strategy (across transaction advisory, capital raising and debt advisory), best practices and key learnings from 15 years of delivery. Within the Singapore office, you will collaborate with the Debt Advisory and Capital Markets teams in country and across the region and focus on origination of capital raising opportunities for large infrastructure and renewable deals and deliver strategic advisory and transaction services (e.g. investment sales of battery storage assets) across Asia Pacific. You will provide optimal structuring solutions and transactional services for clients including institutional investors, private equity, listed property entities, asset managers, high net-worth individuals, family offices and developers. The successful candidate will be required to assist in growing the team in Singapore and across the region working closely with the broader firm and with infrastructure and renewables experts across the JLL global platform.

This role, in partnership with existing regional and local teams will procure and expand strategic client relationships, by advising them on diverse infrastructure and renewables solutions across Asia Pacific.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• In partnership with Head of Energy & Infrastructure | APAC, develop and execute a strategic business plan to grow a sustainable and profitable business in Asia Pacific
• You will be a subject matter expert on the current capital flow within the infrastructure and renewables sector in the region. You will have, build and maintain strong relationships with key industry developers, operators and investors and position JLL as the partner of choice.
• You will be a subject matter expert in the regional renewable market sector with ability to provide strategic advice to clients on current market conditions and outlook as they relate to clients activities or investment considerations.
• Identify and lead the due diligence process for potential acquisition and disposal of energy and infrastructure assets across the region.
• Through your extensive network, and JLL’s existing client base, you will be focused on originating capital raising for large infrastructure and renewable deals and deliver transaction opportunities across the regional market.
• You will be an inspirational leader, driving a change agenda in support of the APAC Capital Markets Strategic business plan, as JLL broadens its revenue stream in the infrastructure and renewables industry.
• Leverage existing JLL client relationships by introducing new infrastructure and renewable opportunities and lead origination activities and on-boarding of new core infrastructure clients across the region.
• Originate and execute opportunities for debt and equity-raising, transaction/M&A, and advisory assignments that will position JLL as the preferred partner across the APAC region for large infrastructure and renewable deals.
• Have a deep understanding of the infrastructure financing landscape across APAC and assist with sourcing of domestic and international funding for infrastructure and renewable deals.
• Utilize JLL’s research capability and lead the production of infrastructure and renewables thought leadership marketing materials for the regional market.
• Attract, onboard and develop market leading talent from within infrastructure and renewable sector.
• Source M&A and partnership opportunities to further enhance growth of the Energy and Infrastructure business at JLL.
• Develop new ideas to enhance and add value to current JLL services.
• Leverage JLL's wider sustainability and ESG practices.

Ideal Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in infrastructure capital advisory (across strategic and financing advisory/arranging) with exposure to the above responsibilities and target sectors.
• Proven track record in investment sales and /or M&A across the energy and infrastructure sector within the APAC market.
• Experience in developing high performing team environments
