Job Purpose
Operator in Laundry operation to process soiled linen and prepare cleaned linen for delivery according to customers’ specification and requirement.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Operate laundry’s machinery and equipment according to operating manual.
Sort soiled linen according to specification prior to washing process.
Conduct quality control on cleaned linen before delivery according to quality standard.
Packing linen for hospitals’ Operating Theatre and CSSD department according to hospitals’ specification.
Remove any unacceptable linen (stained/torn/poor finishing) and foreign object detected during process.
Loading washed linen and unloading of soiled linen from laundry vehicles daily.
Wash and sanitizing of linen trolleys daily where applicable.
Check, count and prepare delivery order for cleaned linen before delivery.
Perform job rotation as required
Able to perform shift work and working on weekend and Public Holidays.
Able to perform duty at customers’ site on soiled linen collection and distribute cleaned linen when required.
Follow WSH practices and regulations. Identify and recognize workplace risks and hazards if any.
Surrender any cash/valuable items found during process and hand over to supervisor on duty

Any other tasks or duties assigned by Principal/Senior Associate, Operations
Requirements (Minimum education and experience profile required by the jobholder to perform the job).
Education
Primary School
Experience
Warehouse, housekeeping, logistics, mover work experience
Skills
Able to speak, read and understand simple English
Good attitude, courteous and able to follow instructions
Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
Able to perform shift work.
Willing to perform overtime when required
Good team-work.
