Job Responsibilities:
Conduct quality checks on sandwich loaves, spread bread and confectionery products during production to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
Record and maintain quality checklists and other documentation accurately.
Perform basic stock take and inventory management to ensure adequate supplies for production.
Operate and monitor industrial-sized baking equipment and machinery.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and workplace safety protocols.
Oversee the production line, ensuring that all products meet company specifications.
Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving any production issues that may arise.
Train and guide junior staff members on baking techniques, quality control procedures and best practices.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
Certificate in baking or a higher qualification; candidates with equivalent experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Basic knowledge of bread and pastry baking processes and quality control techniques.
Experience working with industrial-sized baking equipment is preferred.
Ability to work in a warm and humid environment, with some heavy lifting required.
Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to instruct and lead a team.
Strict adherence to food safety and workplace safety standards.
Availability to work early morning and morning shifts, including weekends on a rotational basis.
