The Pantry Assistant cum Catering Assistant is responsible for maintaining an organised and well-stocked pantry, supporting the bistro team in serving daily catering meals. This role combines pantry management with food service duties to ensure smooth operations in both daily service and special events.


Key Responsibilities:

Pantry Management:

Maintain and organize the pantry, ensuring all supplies are stocked and easily accessible. (top-up three times a day)
Monitor inventory levels of pantry items (e.g., dry goods, condiments, beverages) and inform the manager when replenishment is required.
Ensure proper storage of items, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
Assist in the rotation of stock to prevent spoilage and waste.
Assist in daily preparation of infused water (cut fruits).

Catering Support:

Help with setting up food stations at the bistro counter, ensuring everything is properly presented and ready for service.
Liaise with the caterer on daily meals, ensuring that they are delivered on time and quantity is sufficient.

Hygiene and Cleanliness:

Load guest mugs into commercial dishwasher, ensuring proper arrangement for efficient cleaning.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.

Miscellaneous Support:

As tasked by the reporting unit manager.



Requirements:

Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
Knowledge of food safety standards
Prior experience in food handling/pantry assistant roles
Friendly and approachable demeanor
