The Senior Buyer Asia, based in Singapore, will be responsible for managing procurement activities across the Asia region. This role is an individual contributor position, reporting directly to the Regional Procurement Head, Asia, located in Singapore. The role will focus on executing sourcing strategies, supporting purchasing needs, and ensuring compliance with global procurement standards to meet the organization’s objectives. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and implement cost-effective procurement solutions while aligning with regional and global category strategies. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills to build effective supplier relationships and support operational needs.YOUR CHALLENGE
KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION
- Support the Regional Procurement Head in executing sourcing and procurement strategies across the Asia region
- Manage local purchasing activities, including sourcing, contracting, and processing purchase orders
- Provide procurement support to internal stakeholders
- Negotiate supplier agreements and pricing to ensure cost optimization
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and global standards
- Support the implementation of Source-to-Pay processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional suppliers, ensuring effective vendor management
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders to address procurement-related queries
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency
Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

YOUR PROFILE
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or similar relevant field
- Recognised industry professional qualification (CIPS, CPA, CIMA or additional education/experience)
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience, ideally within a multinational environment
- Experience in developing and implementing procurement procedures
- Strong negotiations skills with ability to work individually and result-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player who is open-minded, hands-on, a critical-thinker and has excellent problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong MS Office skills especially Excel and relevant S2P tools
Preferred
- Procurement Experience within the financial industry
- SAP or other experience across Source-to-Pay modules
- Knowledge in data protection, technology sourcing and financial market regulations
