Position Overview:

Are you a proactive, innovative professional passionate about driving change and embracing digital transformation? CEE invites applications for a dynamic Senior Executive to oversee the operations of the Hydraulics Laboratory. This pivotal role ensures seamless functionality, safety compliance, resource optimization, and fosters innovation through modernizing workflows and process enhancements. Collaborating closely with researchers, students, and faculty, you will play a critical role in advancing cutting-edge hydraulic engineering research and education while supporting NTU’s mission of global excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily laboratory operations, including equipment functionality, inventory control, and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Provide technical expertise, logistical support, and innovative solutions for teaching and research projects to deliver impactful results.

  • Coordinate schedules, optimize resource allocation, and oversee maintenance activities to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Support budget planning and monitor expenditures on procurement, consumables, and equipment maintenance to ensure financial sustainability.

  • Promote a culture of safety through training sessions, audits, and compliance with laboratory safety standards.

  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to integrate digital tools and modern techniques in laboratory operations.

  • Take on additional responsibilities and assignments as delegated by the Reporting Officer, such as managing procurement or participating in school-wide initiatives.

  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to support world-class research and teaching activities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in laboratory operations, preferably in an academic or research environment.

  • Strong understanding of hydraulics and mechanical equipment, laboratory safety protocols, and digital tools for process optimization.

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with meticulous attention to detail in managing inventory, schedules, and budgets.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to independently solve problems and thrive in a dynamic environment.
