The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) provides a vibrant and nurturing environment for staff and students to carry out inter-disciplinary research in key areas such as Computational Materials Science, Characterisation Materials Science, Defence Composite Materials, Functional Composite Materials, Energy, Nanomaterials, Low Dimensional Materials, Biomaterials Materials, Biological Materials, Bioinspired Materials and Sustainable Materials.
We are looking for a research fellow to work in the area of development of high efficient thermoelectric materials and materials processing methods for solid cooling devices. The candidate will play a crucial role in solid state chemistry synthesis, vacuum sealing, processing, characterization, property evaluation and application of thermoelectric materials for targeted applications.
The candidate should have good knowledge on band structure engineering, synchrotron X-ray process, materials characterization. He / she should have good background on designing and properties of thermal properties and thermoelectric properties of materials. Know all the thermoelectric device fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of thermoelectric materials, hot pressing,
thermoelectric material testing and module preparation
Thermoelectric modulus fabrication
Publication in good journals
Job Requirements:
PhD in solid state chemistry/ Materials Science
Candidates with strong background in Materials Engineering
Good publication record
Good team player with good attitude
