A*STAR is seeking a dynamic and visionary staff for its AI, Analytics and Informatics Coordination Office. You will play a central role in driving A*STAR's AI research excellence by orchestrating research efforts and developing programmes that propel the field forward.
About the Role
As Senior Assistant Director of AI, Analytics and Informatics Coordination Office, you will be responsible for:
? Developing and overseeing a synergistic AI research strategy within A*STAR. This includes identifying key research areas, fostering collaboration across A*STAR's research institutes, and ensuring alignment with Singapore's goals in National AI Strategy 2.0.
? Overseeing a comprehensive portfolio of research initiatives in AI, fostering cutting-edge research, promoting them to external stakeholders, and facilitating knowledge exchange.
? Coordinating an active network of AI researchers across A*STAR's research institutes and steering them to achieve the strategic objectives of the organisation.
? Cultivating a vibrant research ecosystem by organising workshops and networking events, and promoting research collaborations.
Who We Are Looking For
? A proven track record in leading and managing complex AI research projects
? Extensive experience in tech (preferably at least 8-10 years), particularly in AI research or engineering, with a deep understanding of current research trends and future directions
? Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across diverse internal and external stakeholders
? A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement a long-term vision for AI research
? Experience in technology strategy development or programme management roles in the public service or research organisations would be a plus point
