Prudential AI Lab is a newly set-up initiative and team under Prudential Singapore but with global scope and responsibilities for running AI Product incubation acceleration program, enable group wide AI experimentation and AI Product innovation.

The Product Manager plays a crucial role supporting the Ecosystem Lead and Program Head, in building and managing relationships between the Prudential AI Lab internal Prudential stakeholders, Local Business Units (LBU) and external ecosystem participants that include startups, higher education institutions, regulators, research institutes, and government agencies.

The role also involves continuous internal engagement with Prudential's Local Business Units (LBUs) to help communicate problem statements, AI Product ideas and with teams to participate and go through the AI product incubation process.

There will be need for coordination and engagement with external ecosystem and outreach to recruit external teams and experts to participate in the AI Lab's work and be part of the incubation program. The Product Manager will be reporting to the Head, AI Lab Technology responsible for day to day AI Lab operations.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the AI Lab's ecosystem strategy, build impactful partnerships, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge AI solutions within Prudential and beyond. The Product Manager will play a key role in assisting of fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation, contributing to the success of the AI Lab and AI Incubator.

Job Description:

Internal Engagement and Problem Sourcing

  • Actively communicate with Prudential's LBUs to source problem statements and ideas for the AI product incubation process
  • Schedule and support leads in regular engagements e.g. workshops, meetings, and brainstorming sessions with LBU teams to identify potential AI solutions.
  • Coordinate with key internal stakeholders e.g. Prudential comms, to promote and manage the relationships and support AI Lab success
  • Promote the AI Lab's capabilities and success stories internally to drive engagement and participation.


Product Management

  • To support the development and delivery of AI Lab Use Cases as approved by AI Lab Sterring Committee and in accordance with the schedules set in product calendar. This includes all stages within the process ranging from insights into customers / distributors / competitors, product ideas generation, feasibility evaluation and conversion of idea into product design, ensure competitiveness in product pricing, product launch, post-launch review/ monitoring and recommendation for potential enhancements.
  • Collaborate with team members, internal/ external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery and execution of product implementation including product marketing/ customers’ materials, system requirements, product approval materials, User Acceptance Testing etc.
  • To support the conduct of market intelligent study via regular structured product focus group to meet up with distributors, market watch and monitoring of new product launches by competitors for analysis to generate ideas and collect feedback for insurance products.
  • To support on projects relating to changes due to new regulatory/PCA requirements and new systems, which include coordination with other project stakeholders such as IT, Operations, Distribution, Actuarial and Compliance.
  • Organization and preparation of Product Steering Committee meetings for life insurance products.
  • To support the delivery of department specific reporting and updates such as QBPR updates, PCA Product Approval Condition Monitoring, FATCA Reporting, Board Paper and PIDM Reporting.
  • To support the delivery of risk management reporting such as incident reporting, risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) and any other risk reporting
  • Provide on-going product support in all matters related to products including campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the team members to provide timely and accurate delivery and response to product queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coaching and guidance to supporting executives and interns.

Reporting and Collaboration

  • Report directly to the AI Lab Program Head, providing regular updates
  • Collaborate closely with the AI Lab's technical and program management teams to align with AI Lab’s overall objectives
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the AI Lab's strategic roadmap

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in partnership management, business development, or ecosystem engagement
  • Network within the AI and innovation ecosystem, including startups, academia, and government agencies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications in the insurance industry
  • Passion for innovation and a drive to position Prudential at the forefront of AI in the insurance industry
