Purpose and Scope
This role resides in the Group Sustainability division. The role supports workstreams including and not limited to – reporting/disclosure, ESG raters, environmental and social risk assessments, human rights, sustainable finance, supply chain ESG. This role will require you to work in close partnership with several internal teams and external stakeholders / consultants.

Responsibilities include
:
  • Sustainability reporting:
    • Manage and prepare the development of the Group’s sustainability report
    • Manage sustainability report audit requirements
    • Manage sustainability materiality assessment
    • Manage the sustainability information needs of ESG raters, investors and customers
  • Sustainable finance:
    • Update and support the pre-issuance assurance processes for Sembcorp’s Green Financing Framework / Sustainability-linked Financing Framework
    • Work closely with the Treasury team to support new green bond / loan and sustainability-linked loan issuances
    • Support the development of annual Green Finance Report and Sustainable Finance Annual Updates
    • Support the annual post-issuance assurance for green bonds / loans and sustainability-linked bonds / loans
  • Supply chain:
    • ESG integration into procurement activities
    • Ongoing review and assessment of supply chain ESG performance (including Scope 3 emissions)
    • Supply chain ESG improvement initiatives (including Scope 3 emissions)
  • Human rights:
    • Monitor ongoing human rights due diligence processes and policy review

Requirements:
  • University Degree, preferably from Environmental Management / Environmental Engineering. Accountancy and Finance graduates will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ of experience in the sustainability field
  • Experience and / or working knowledge with the following:
    • Reporting standards: GRI, ISSB Standards, TCFD and CDP
    • Sustainability audit procedures
    • ESG raters: e.g. MSCI, Sustainalytics, CDP
    • Sustainable finance: Green Bond / Loan Principles, Sustainability-linked Bond / Loan Principles, Singapore-Asia Taxonomy, Climate Bond Initiative Standards and taxonomy
    • Human rights: UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
  • Other requirements: strong project management and stakeholder management skills, strong analytical skills, good English writing and presentation skills
