Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) or ARC(S) is a non-profit charity organisation dedicated to serving children and adults on the autism spectrum, to help these individuals lead meaningful and independent lives in society. ARC(S) offers a range of services and resources tailored to meet the growing concerns and needs of the autism community.
As part of our continuum of services , we run a Residential Programme coupled with a supported living and training centre, and we invite passionate people to join us in transforming the lives entrusted to us.
We are looking for a hands-on & energetic Residential Coach who desires to impact lives of adults on the autism spectrum. This would require showing respect and support for our clients’ choices and needs, as well as helping them achieve their personal goals by empowering them through Meaning, Dignity and Independence.

Requirements:
As a Residential coach, your impact and contribution includes:

Supporting a multi-disciplinary team in training and assessment of residents by coaching them in Residential Living Skills such as:
  • Maintain household chores, including preparing simple meals
  • Manage their time within the residence and preparing them to go to work
  • Live with others – sharing common spaces, meals, and chores, as well as consideration for one another’s needs
Support residents during day and night shift hours (rotation):
  • Ensure safety and security of residents at all times
  • Respond to emergencies as required
Provide a safe and homely environment for residents
  • Co-develop house rules with the residents
  • Ensure residents are accountable for their household duties
  • Provide opportunities for social interactions and community
Maintain comfort, safety, and security
  • Upkeep common areas if residents are still in the process of learning to be independent in household chores
  • Assist and coordinate repairs as required
Requirements:
  • Min GCE 'O' level with 1 - 2 years working experience.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of autism and skills in housekeeping
  • Good interpersonal and relational skills
  • Passion to work with individuals on the autism spectrum
The incumbent is required to work on a shift roster which includes weekends and public holidays and a stayover at the residence for 3 days at a stretch. We offer an attractive shift pattern up to 8.5 consecutive days off every three weeks.
