We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. As a Chef de Partie, you will oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Your attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to work efficiently under pressure will make you an invaluable part of our team.

We offer a 5-day work week (closed on Sundays*). Benefits include annual leave, medical leave, staff meals etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry)
  • Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards
  • Ensure all ingredients and dishes are prepared on time
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Uphold health and safety standards in food handling
  • Train and supervise junior chefs in your section
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation

Qualifications:

1. Education:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field.
  • Additional coursework in food safety and hygiene is beneficial.

2. Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Experience working in different sections of the kitchen.

3. Skills:

  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques and culinary skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Certifications:

1. Basic Food Hygiene Certification:

  • Mandatory certification by the National Environment Agency (NEA) for all food handlers in Singapore.

2. WSQ Food Safety Course (Level 1):

  • Ensures compliance with local food safety regulations and practices.

3. Additional Culinary Certifications (optional but advantageous):

  • Specialized courses or certifications in particular cuisines or cooking techniques.

4. First Aid Certification:

  • Basic first aid skills can be useful for handling kitchen accidents and emergencies.

5. Food Allergens Training (optional):

  • Understanding and managing food allergens can be beneficial

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $3,500.00 - $3,800.00 per month
