Substance is seeking a dynamic Social Media Planner & Community Specialist to join our team on a contract, internship, or part-time basis. In this multifaceted role, you will be at the forefront of our social media strategy and community engagement efforts. Your mission will be to develop and implement effective social media plans, foster a vibrant online community, and create meaningful connections with our audience. Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies that amplify our brand message, drive engagement, and grow our audience.
- Content Planning: Create and manage content calendars, ensuring a consistent flow of engaging and relevant posts across various platforms.
- Community Engagement: Foster and cultivate a strong online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and personable manner.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor social media performance metrics and provide insights on ongoing campaigns, using data to optimize strategies.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay on top of social media trends and best practices to ensure content remains current and aligned with audience interests.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and events, to ensure cohesive brand messaging and community initiatives.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent the brand positively and authentically across social media platforms, enhancing our reputation and relationship with the community.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and experience creating engaging content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for creating relatable and engaging narratives.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and metrics to inform strategies.
- Creative thinker with a passion for community building and social media engagement.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) is a plus.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
