The Lighting and Sound Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of lighting and sound during live performances, events, or productions. This role involves working closely with the stage manager, technical crew, and designers to ensure that all lighting and audio elements are executed seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lighting and Sound Design:
• Collaborate with directors, designers, and technical teams to develop and implement lighting and sound designs.
• Ensure the lighting and sound systems meet the artistic and technical requirements of the production.
• Set Up and Operation:
• Oversee the installation, setup, and maintenance of lighting and sound equipment.
• Manage the operation of lighting and sound during rehearsals and performances, ensuring all cues are executed properly.
• Technical Troubleshooting:
• Quickly address and resolve any technical issues related to lighting or sound during live performances.
• Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and perform regular maintenance.
• Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work with the stage manager and other crew members to ensure smooth integration of lighting and sound with other technical elements.
• Provide support to performers and technicians during rehearsals and performances.
• Budgeting and Equipment Management:
• Manage budgets related to lighting and sound equipment and supplies.
• Maintain inventory and track the condition of lighting and sound equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Proficient in operating lighting, sound, and audio-visual equipment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve technical problems under pressure.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure the lighting and sound effects align with the director's vision and the production’s requirements.
• Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills to coordinate with various departments and ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Creativity: Ability to contribute to creative discussions about lighting and sound effects to enhance the production.
