Roles & Responsibilities

The student care teacher is responsible for the care and development of school-age children, including daily supervision of the children's schoolwork and studies, as well as planning activities for them during the school holidays. The teacher is to take care of the students’ needs and maintain a conducive, healthy and safe environment.

· Maintain exemplary standards of organization, teaching, planning, time management, professionalism and effective learning.

· Plan and conduct age-appropriate activities while ensuring the overall safety and welfare of each student.

· Supervise and guide students in their daily schoolwork and study including student care’s work.

· Mark and go through assessment books (answer guides will be given)

· Demonstrates an understanding of each child’s individual development.

· Supervise the initial entry of each child into his/her daycare group.

· Supports to maintain a safe, clean, and appropriate environment.

· Monitor each student’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development and provide regular feedback to parents.

· Develops and sustains good teacher-parent relationships on a daily basis.
