About The Job
The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Head of Gerontology Programme (Master and PhD) to lead the reminiscence in aged care project in Asia. This role involves building partnerships, driving outreach strategies, overseeing programme evaluations, managing data and report for stakeholders and funders. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in expanding the programme's impact, fostering community engagement, and ensuring successful project execution.
What You Will Be Doing
Job Responsibilities
- Take the lead in the development, execution, and oversight of training and programmes.
- Build partnerships with eldercare organisations and identify collaboration opportunities.
- Manage outreach strategies and evaluate programme impact.
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to stakeholders and funders.
- Make critical decisions and oversee the overall project to ensure its successful execution.
- Drive community-building initiatives and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior leadership.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Gerontology, Social Science, Economics, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of ageing populations' socio-economic landscape, reminiscence in aged care, and interest in reminiscence facilitation (priority).
- Proven experience in project management, business development, and partnerships.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and reporting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with research tools is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across the region.
