Job Description
Counselling Services:
Provide individual and group counselling sessions for students
Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies for students with specific needs
Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and student progress
Design and conduct workshops for students on mental health awareness and social-emotional skills
Implement early intervention programmes to address potential issues before they escalate
Collaboration and Networking:
Participate in regular meetings with the Student
Liaise with external professionals and agencies when necessary for student support
Engage in professional development activities and share best practices with other school counsellors
Student Support:
Provide crisis intervention and support for students facing acute challenges
Offer guidance on academic and career-related concerns
Assist in the transition process for students entering or leaving the school
Programme Evaluation:
Conduct regular assessments of the counselling programme's effectiveness
Gather feedback from students, teachers, and parents to improve services
Prepare and submit reports on counselling activities and student outcomes
Time Commitment:
Be available for occasional after-hours support in case of emergencies
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
A diploma in counselling or equivalent or higher;
1 year of relevant student counselling experience in Singapore
Working hours
40 hours per week, excluding 1 hour for lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Working locations
(School environment)
