My client, MNC located in the East is seeking Temporary Accounting Specialists to support their project.

Incumbent needs to have some level of ERP system hand-on experience , understanding of accounting system flow, and full set of accounts experience. Those with Audit, system migration, implementation will be a plus.

The Accounting Management Specialist reports to the BPO Management Tower Support (Supervisor). This role involves ensuring the accuracy of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries for multiple legal entities, and supporting the roll-out of Oracle Cloud and changes to the Chart of Accounts within the Financial Ecosystem System (FCE).

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Support Readiness: Assist the Tower Supervisor with FCE readiness activities such as user acceptance testing, beta testing, and validation of work. Collaborate closely with the overseas team.

Month-End Review: Perform month-end account reviews, including control account checks and correcting journal entries.

Monitor Progress: Track the progress of monthly closing activities and review the BPO Journal Entry Dashboard for assigned entities.

Overdue Items: Review the Overdue Items Report, follow up with BPO, and escalate overdue items as necessary.

Finance Reviews: Conduct pre- and post-close calls with each tower lead to review monthly and quarterly finance activities.

Support Journal Entries: Assist with journal entry and reconciliation reviews.

Account Aging: Run reports in Blackline to review accounts for aging and value, perform research, and work with the BPO owner to resolve items. Develop action plans to address items over 60 days and $100K.

Generate Reports: Create GL reports, perform trend analysis, and conduct variance analysis.

Close Package: Prepare the Tower Close Package, including variance analysis with commentary, risk and issues log, and balance sheet aging.

Monitor SLAs: Monitor BPO performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Escalate discrepancies and oversee the implementation of corrective action plans (CAPs).

Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between stakeholders and BPO to fulfill information requests and answer questions.

Efficiency Improvements: Review post-close BPO Journal Entry activities to identify opportunities to reduce transaction volume and improve efficiency.

Risk Identification: Work across towers to identify risks in processes and implement improvement opportunities.

Compliance: Ensure BPO compliance with ACR record retention policies.

Migration Support: Work with GAC BPO Management Tower Leads to understand new responsibilities from any migration of work. Update related documentation.

Requirements:

Education: Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, internal audit, or public accounting in any industry.

Skills:

Proficiency in accounting theory and principles.

Strong attention to detail and good analytical, problem-solving skills.

Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and remote teams.

Proactive and independent team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
