About the Role: As a Sales & Business Development Manager, your role involves growing business by nurturing client relationship. You should be self-driven, ability to identify new business opportunities, expand market presence, maintain strong relationship with clients, ability to cover entire sales and marketing cycle and with product experience in maritime solutions. You should also have deep understanding of the maritime industry and have network to executive profiles in the charterer and ship-owners, build up over the years.
You should not only professional but also a skilled communicator capable of attracting new business and clients. The ideal candidate will have a natural talent for sales talk, building strong client relationships, and driving our business growth.
As an individual contributor :-
Oversee sales efforts in designated regions.
Develop and expand assigned markets.
Generate and pursue sales leads.
Provide weekly and monthly sales updates to management.
Manage and address customer relations, feedback, and complaints.
Stay informed on market requirements and user needs.
Drive sales activities for both existing and new channels.
Participate actively in trade shows, advertisements, and other marketing communications.
Prepare and submit reports on CRM, sales pipeline, activities, performance, and plans.
Manage bid processes.
Collaborate with the Group sales network to enhance the commercial pipeline.
You should have:-
Attract and engage new clients through compelling sales presentations.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence.
Demonstrated sales success in the maritime and marine sales industry (minimum of 5 years' relevant experience).
Experienced in B2B sales, particularly with shipowners and charterers.
Proficient in direct sales.
Willingness to travel frequently.
"Hunter" type personality with a strong ability to close deals.
Experience in related marine products and solutions is a plus.
Knowledge of the shipping and offshore sectors.
Advantageous to have experience with energy optimization in the maritime business.
Experience in marketing and creating marketing materials is a benefit.
Previous experience as a mariner, or with technical and commercial roles in the relevant industry, is an advantage.
Qualification : Tertiary educated with recognized degree qualification preferred
