JOB PURPOSE

To support the Commercial Diving Department by performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections of leisure and commercial diving equipment. The Junior Diving Technician will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards, enhancing operational reliability and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

  • Inspect, service, and repair diving regulators, BCDs, breathing air compressors, and associated equipment.
  • Perform hydrotesting of diving cylinders and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct air quality analysis for compressors to maintain safe breathing air standards.

Commercial Equipment Support:

  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Surface Rescue Panels (SRP), cascade systems, and Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS).
  • Support the repair and maintenance of decompression chambers and other specialized commercial diving systems.

Technical Operations:

  • Perform routine checks and diagnostics on all diving-related equipment.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs for compliance and quality assurance.

Customer Support:

  • Provide technical guidance to customers regarding the use and care of diving equipment.
  • Address client inquiries and ensure high levels of service satisfaction.

Health and Safety:

  • Adhere to workplace safety protocols and industry standards
  • Identify potential risks during equipment handling and mitigate them effectively.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or related engineering disciplines.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in servicing diving equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with regulators, BA compressors, hydrotesting, and air quality analysis.

Exposure to SRP panels, cascade systems, LARS, and chambers will be an added advantage
