Description and Requirements
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) experience to join our ICT Infrastructure team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our network infrastructure, which includes Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls, Cisco switches, Alcatel, Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM), and other related devices. You will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, optimal performance, and security of our network services.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively monitor network systems to ensure optimal availability and performance, identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
Perform scheduled activities such as vulnerability patching, disaster recovery (DR) drills, and regular compliance reviews of firewall rules and configurations.
Attend training and certification programs from key vendors as required to maintain expertise and support the organization's technology needs.
Adhere to incident and problem management best practices, ensuring timely response to issues, thorough root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
Ensure strict compliance with ITIL standards during daily operations, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of network services.
Strategically plan and implement technology refreshes for devices nearing or reaching End-of-Support Life (EOSL).
Ensure network-related documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and sufficiently detailed to support operational continuity and knowledge sharing.
Actively participate in preparing tender bid submissions, providing technical expertise and detailed input as needed.
Implement and maintain Application Performance Monitoring (APM) solutions (Training will be provided).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Network related roles.
Certifications:
CCNA/ CCNP (Preferred)
Hands-on experience in network engineering, with a deep understanding of the OSI, TCP/IP model, IPsec, SSL/TLS, and IPS/IDS.
Experience in Application Performance Monitoring.
