As SIT’s lifelong learning champion, SITLEARN offers a variety of Continuous Education and Training (CET) courses designed for working adults of all ages who are eager to upskill or reskill. The CET courses offered provides practical, relevant learning experiences whether it is to enhance their current skills or transition to a new industry. Our courses are developed in collaboration with industry and professional bodies to ensure they meet workforce needs.
As we expand our CET offerings, it is essential to have dedicated, highly skilled teams to manage the full planning and administration of the financial aspects of these CET courses and programs, ensuring compliance with both internal and external governance requirements. Our Grants Branch is responsible for overseeing the financial aspect of CET/SkillsFuture programs, specifically in relation to grant claims governance for CET. We are looking to hire an Assistant Manager (Grants Management) to assist the Grants Branch.
Responsibilities
- Review and process CET course applications, ensuring all required information and documentation are complete and accurate.
- Handle edit requests for CET course applications, ensuring updates are made in compliance with established guidelines and policies.
- Ensure that all course applications and edits are properly documented and stored in compliance with internal data management procedures.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth processing of applications and edits in a timely manner.
- Work closely with internal teams and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to ensure smooth processing of applications and adherence to deadlines.
- Assist the team in providing updates to internal stakeholders regarding the status of course applications and edit requests.
- Assist in preparing reports on course application trends and related data for management of course portfolio.
- Assist in the generation of reports for funding agencies and management.
- Review and approve new account sign-up by companies.
- Administration of designated mailboxes and filing directories.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Additional certifications or qualifications in administration or data management would be advantageous.
- 2 years of experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in an education, training, or grant management environment.
- Familiarity with internal data management systems or application platforms is a plus.
- Basic data entry and data management experience, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel spreadsheets, for tracking and reporting purposes.
- A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, especially in managing application issues and requests.
- Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
