Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair activities of factory and office machineries and equipment, with an emphasis on automation machineries and robotic systems.
  • Support Principal Automation Engineer/Automation Engineer in providing technical support in computerized automation/robotic systems.
  • Perform machineries and equipment installation, set-up, servicing, maintenance, and repair job (both corrective and preventive), and ensure automation/robotic systems to always remain in a validated and functional state, including setting up or calibration check.
  • Ensure that automation equipment is well maintained in good working condition to support production or engineering runs with minimum downtime.
  • Ensure timely diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution of identified automation/robotic system issues (both hardware and software).
  • Perform routine checks to monitor equipment operating parameters, prompt updating onto monitoring system to ensure operations are within control specifications, including setting up or calibration check.
  • Prepare trouble report and be involved in work improvement projects.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by superior and/or management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in process control/automation/robotic system solution in a manufacturing or related field.
  • NTC 3/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or equivalent.
  • Understanding of electrical/mechanical/pneumatic schematics
  • Fundamentals in robot teaching
  • Basic knowledge in PLC, HMI, and control system.
  • Sensor's selection and maintenance
  • Working knowledge in metal stamping industry is preferred.
  • Possess safety awareness in handling machine as well as basic safety knowledge in factory.
  • Skills Required: Good trouble shooting skills
  • Hands on skills in mechanical, electrical & pneumatic matters
  • Good planning, supervisory, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate technical/ complex information both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively
