We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Retail Director, Southeast Asia to lead our operations across the Southeast Asia market. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of retail experience, with a proven track record in team leadership, marketing, retail operations and merchandising. This role is pivotal in driving sales, enhancing customer experience and optimizing retail performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Strategy & Sales Management

  • Develop and execute retail strategies to boost sales, expand market reach, and increase profitability in SEA direct retail markets(Singapore & Malaysia).
  • Establish annual sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for all stores and retail channels.
  • Review sales data and market trends to refine strategies and enhance store efficiency.
  • Align store operations with the brand’s vision to ensure a consistent and memorable customer experience.
  • Establish strategic relationship with landlords to ensure the right location secured and in accordance with brand position.

Retail Operations

  • Oversee daily retail operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence in customer service.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvement and profitability.
  • Work closely with store managers to optimize staff schedules, manage inventory effectively, and maintain the stores’ presentation.
  • Ensure operational processes are in place to provide a positive shopping experience that embodies the brand's exclusivity.

Retail Merchandising

  • Work closely with the team on merchandise planning and feedback timely on the markets’ trends
  • Analyse sales data to optimize product assortment and presentation in stores.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure timely delivery and quality of merchandise.

Marketing/CRM

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go to market strategies.
  • Maintain brand consistency and manage effective promotions.
  • Synergize CRM & Retail Operations to establish VIP base and cultivate long-lasting relationship.
  • Analyse market trends and consumer insights to inform marketing initiatives.

Team Leadership

  • Build, lead and mentor the retail team across multiple locations to achieve sales and service excellence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Define clear KPIs & R&R for the teams and nurture feedback culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 15 years’ experience in the retail management, of which least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in driving sales growth and managing high-performance teams in the retail industry.
  • Good understanding of the Southeast Asia markets and consumer behaviour.
  • Solid experience in developing and executing successful marketing and merchandising strategies.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with strong business acumen.
  • Possesses an analytical mindset, outstanding leadership skills, and a strong focus on achieving results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and foster strong relationship with stakeholders.
  • Excellent in written and spoken English and Chinese (include Mandarin).
