KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Proposal Engineer plays a pivotal role in achieving project objectives within defined time and cost frameworks while ensuring full delivery scope and quality. This position involves a combination of technical expertise, project management, and customer-focused activities to support and drive sales. As a crucial link between the technical and commercial aspects of projects, the Project Proposal Engineer ensures customer satisfaction and successful handover to the Project Execution team.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborative Sales Approach
- Partner closely with all stakeholders to serve customers effectively and meet team sales targets.
Proposal & Quotation Preparation
- Analyze requests for proposals to understand project scope, technical requirements and customer expectations.
- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies in proposals.
- Ensure proposals adhere to industry standards and compliance regulations.
- Utilize CEP and SAP systems to prepare accurate costings, quotations, and proposals for company’s products, services, and third-party packages.
- Terms & condition (T&C) review & negotiation
Customer Engagement and Technical Assistance
- Summarize customer specifications and create a Deviation/Clarification list.
- Participate in technical clarification meetings with customers, clarifying company’s proposed deviations.
- Handle inquiries via various communication channels, provide technical assistance and advice, follow up on quotations, negotiate terms, close orders, and maintain customer relationships.
Cross-Department Coordination
- Work with Sales teams, Service, Finance and Supply Chain departments to gather necessary input for quotations and proposals.
Order Processing and Verification
- Verify customer Purchase Orders, convert quotations into sales orders, and process orders using the SAP system.
Customer Service and Problem Resolution
- Deliver exceptional customer service, build strong relationships, resolve problems, and address complaints effectively.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform any other tasks required by the Company to support its business strategy.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Control/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years’ experience in Instrumentation and Automation/Control Engineering
- Relevant Technical knowledge (Would be an advantage)
- Proven track records and experience with project proposal
- Enthusiastic, dynamic, and customer-oriented personality
- Systematic and meticulous
- Strong ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
