AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts.
The Products Pillar of AI Singapore is looking for an experienced Senior AI Engineer with expertise in technical documentation, community engagement, and experience in establishing robust data engineering processes in large organizations.
Duties & Responsibilities• Develop comprehensive technical documentation for AI projects, including design specifications, implementation guides, user manuals, and API documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and translate them into clear and concise documentation.
• Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, and tools to streamline the documentation process and ensure consistency.
• Lead community engagement initiatives, including participating in forums, webinars, and conferences to share insights, best practices, and lessons learned.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the AI community.
• Drive the establishment of data engineering processes and best practices to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of AI solutions in large organizations.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, data engineering, and related fields to continuously improve processes and drive innovation.
• 7+ years of industry experience in the field of data science, machine learning and AI.
• BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• Experience in technical documentation, including writing and maintaining documentation for complex software systems or AI projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with diverse communities.
• Solid community engagement portfolios, such as impactful open-source initiative leadership and regular involvement in tech community-driven events.
• 5+ years involvement in end-to-end prototyping, deployment and operationalisation of machine learning products in private/public sectors.
• Technical leadership experience is highly favoured.
