Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and Implementing Safety Policies: Creating comprehensive safety policies
and HSSE Plant in compliance with local laws and regulations, Air Liquide safety policies
and customer safety policies. - Risk Assessment: Developing or checking risk assessments that identify potential
hazards in the workplace. This involves inspecting equipment, workspaces, and work
practices to ensure they meet safety standards. - Safety Training: Organizing and providing health and safety training for workers and
employees. This includes site safety orientation for workers in line with local regulation
and Air Liquide requirements. - Accident Investigation and Reporting: Investigating workplace accidents or incidents to
identify their causes and prevent future occurrences. This also involves maintaining
records of incidents and reporting them to relevant authorities as required by
Singaporean law. - Emergency Preparedness: Developing and implementing emergency procedures, such as
fire drills and evacuation plans. Ensuring that all employees are aware of these
procedures and that necessary emergency equipment is readily available and in good
working order. - Health Programs: Promoting workplace health programs that may include ergonomic
assessments, wellness initiatives, and monitoring the work environment to prevent
occupational diseases. - Liaising with External Parties: Working with regulatory authorities, and external auditors
regarding compliance issues and inspections. This may also involve coordinating with
external health and safety consultants or corporate safety representatives. - Compliance Monitoring: Keeping up to date with changes in health and safety legislation
and standards in Singapore, ensuring that the organization remains compliant, and
advising management on necessary updates to policies and practices.
Report to: Project Manager
Job Requirements:
- MOM Certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
- Physically fit to work at a construction site.
- BCSS, WAH Supervisor Certificate is an advantage.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Local Laws: Familiarity with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act,
and other relevant legislation is essential. - Analytical Skills: Ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend practical
solutions. - Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for
effectively training employees, reporting to management, and liaising with external
parties. - Attention to Detail: Being meticulous in conducting safety inspections, maintaining
records, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. - Proficient with Microsoft office application and Microsoft project or equivalent.
- Proficient with Google docs, sheet, slides…etc
