Youth Work Associate

Key Objectives
To provide psychological, emotional, cognitive, physical, and disciplinary support to residents in the dormitory. Adopt a Trauma-Informed Care approach to ensure residents’ best interests are prioritized. Assist and support Case Executives with casework and developmental programs.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Management
- Support the Case Executive in managing dormitory activities and programs.
- Plan and execute engaging and beneficial bonding activities.
- Oversee residents’ educational needs, including school attendance, homework, exams, and tuition support.
- Guide residents in managing trauma and building resilience with the help of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Monitor safety, behaviour, and well-being during daily routines, outings, and appointments.
Youth Engagement
- Organize interventions, interest-based activities, and programs to help youth become well-adjusted, contributing members of society.
- Conduct home visits and coordinate services for families, as needed.
- Assist in developing and implementing Individual Care Plans (ICPs) for residents.
- Maintain detailed records of all services provided in accordance with organizational policies and MSF requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma (preferably in Youth Work, Social Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Events Management, Community Development, or Outdoor/Adventure Learning).
- Relevant work experience in child-centred environments, such as after-school student care.
- Flexible, empathetic, and firm in managing and supporting children.
- Passion and patience for working with children.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide psychological and emotional support.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to children’s well-being.
