As the Head of Security Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in defining and enhancing the organization's security strategies. You will lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive security solutions that protect critical infrastructure, data, and systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity protocols and frameworks and a deep understanding of both cloud and on-prem environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of the overall security architecture for both cloud-based and on-prem systems.
- Engage with stakeholders across the organization to ensure security policies meet required regulatory standards.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and threats to make informed recommendations on improving security architecture.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and ongoing support of sophisticated security systems.
- Conduct in-depth evaluations of the current security environment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing advanced solutions.
- Lead the introduction of new technologies to safeguard against vulnerabilities, while ensuring continuous threat monitoring.
- Drive the development of cutting-edge cloud security strategies, leveraging modern cloud solutions and services.
- Establish and refine a multi-layered security framework that spans multiple components of the tech stack, from network infrastructure to data and applications.
- Ensure that security controls are in place across various layers, reducing potential vulnerabilities and increasing the overall security posture.
- Develop resilience in security defenses by incorporating redundancy and diversified security mechanisms.
- Conduct regular reviews of security architecture, identifying weaknesses and creating plans to mitigate risks.
- Ensure all security practices are aligned with legal and regulatory frameworks, including compliance with the Cyber Security Act 2018 and MAS guidelines.
- Provide leadership on secure-by-design initiatives, ensuring all new systems and projects meet security requirements.
Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in security architecture, particularly within cloud and on-premises environments.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards, regulations, and compliance, especially MAS TRM guidelines and the Cyber Security Act 2018.
- Proven experience designing and deploying security solutions in complex technical environments.
