The Operations Department (OPD) department at National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented intern to support the development of our Business Continuity Plan (BCP), focusing on medical-related and infrastructure disruption Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The intern will play a crucial role in mitigating potential risks by assisting in research, data compilation, risk analysis, and drafting key components of the BCP. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for someone interested in operational continuity, risk management and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
- Research and gather relevant information regarding best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements for Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
- Assist in identifying and analysing potential risk factors related to medical related emergencies and infrastructure disruptions
- Draft and update SOPs related to medical emergencies, infrastructure failures, and other critical disruptions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business operations and identify continuity gaps
- Help in compiling data, conducting risk assessments, and contributing to risk mitigation strategies
- Assist drafting BCP documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and relevance
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Healthcare Management, Operations Management, or related field
- Strong analytical skills and ability to research and process information efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a keen interest in risk management and business continuity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Prior experience or coursework related to business continuity, risk management, or healthcare operations is a plus
