Board Function

The primary responsibility of the E & I Plant Engineer is to ensure the new equipment installation and process modifications to be carried out per requirements. They are also responsible to uphold equipment application safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance. By developing and implementing safety protocols, conduct regular audits and inspections, and train personnel on equipment maintenance and service safety practices.

Job Description / Responsibilities

1.Take charge of new equipment installations, process modifications, supporting equipment PM and trouble shooting

1.1. New equipment specification confirmation, purchasing, installation and commissioning

1.2. Carry out modification

1.3. Conduct design review

1.4. Equipment trouble shooting

1.5. Equipment trouble root cause analysis

2. Responsible for workplace safety and health activities in Process development section programs.

2.1. Planning for yearly SOM

2.2. Implement section program to achieve related KPIs

3. Lead and manage ECR reduction and closure

3.1. Investigate cause and execute solutions on time

4. Ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet the desired specifications

4.1. Review all vendor contracts and recommend the performance of contractors.

4.2. Conduct vendor service performance audit.

4.3. Liaise with UMT HQ technical team for process improvement and equipment issues.

5. USP Engineering Standards creation

5.1. Create, review USP Engineering Standard (USPES)

5.2. Discuss with related section to review USPES.

5.3. Training USPES for related Sections

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Possess High pressure equipment related cert (advantage)
  • Min of 5 years of relevant working experience (diploma)
  • Degree (min 3 years relevant working experience)
  • Intermediate MS Office
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good Written and spoken English.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good presentation skills to share and brief co-workers and management with clarity.
  • Riche experience in different kind of motorized equipment service, troubleshooting
  • Good knowledge in Mechanical related, e.g. material, application etc.
  • Able to read P&ID drawing.
  • Able to carry out hands-on work.
  • Have leadership and supervision skills to guide and coach team members\
  • Independent individual that does not require supervision.
  • A good team player who can collaborate across different teams and departments.
  • Positive working attitude

  • Self-motivated to look for problems and solutions.
  • Inquisitive and innovative mind to explore new areas and technologies.
