Responsibilities
- Establish principles and develop logic for calculating variable cost components at the geographical and trade levels, in order to determine a standard cost per equipment size for each port-pair combination
- Continuously improve costing logic to adapt to the evolving market conditions and support optimal pricing and cargo selection decisions
- Conduct regular analyses to identify and report any discrepancies between estimated costs and actual shipping operation expenses
- Perform periodic assessments and analyses of equipment availability at each location to determine equipment balance assumptions and repositioning costs within the system
- Work closely with various stakeholders, including regional offices, local agents, procurement, finance, and trade teams, to ensure accurate cost information is inputted into the system
- Provide business requirements to the Information Systems Department for backend data analysis and system enhancements aimed at improving costing accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Maritime, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent.
- Possess excellent data management, spreadsheet, and presentation skills. Knowledge in Tableau, Power BI preferred but not compulsory
