Executive, Halal & Quality Assurance

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Halal Assurance Management – 60%

• Ensure compliance with relevant Halal Standards across all restaurants.
• Verify that all core and LTO products or ingredients from suppliers meet required Halal Standards.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain updated Halal certifications for renewals.
• Ensure timely applications and renewals of Halal certifications for all stores.
• Conduct periodic internal Halal audits at strategic partners and restaurants.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all documentation for LTO and core ingredients and menu items comply with Halal requirements.
• Conduct Halal compliance training for restaurant & team members as needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with Halal certification authorities.
• Serve as the primary liaison for Halal auditors from relevant bodies.

2. Quality Assurance (Restaurant Excellence) – 40%

• Support food safety compliance checks at critical stores and provide technical advice to the operations team, supporting various audit programs.
• Train restaurant team members on food safety standards and brand standards related to the Restaurant Operations Compliance Program.
• Assist in evaluating alternative ingredients and conducting product evaluations.
• Support investigations for product quality and food safety-related non-conformance issues.

3. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

• Diploma from any discipline (minimal requirement).
• 2-3 years of work experience in a similar role as a Halal Liaison Officer/Executive.
• Due to the work requirements, candidates must be Muslim.
• Training experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Meticulous in administrative duties and compliant with Halal requirements.
• Collaborative approach in liaising with multiple cross-functional teams and external suppliers/vendors to achieve Halal and food safety compliance.
• Training will be provided to support Restaurant Excellence.
