Job Duties
To sort (if necessary) and weigh the soiled linen before depositing the soiled linen into the machines. Loading weight should be within acceptable limit and need to ensure no over-loading or under-loading.
Check uniforms, guest parcels for any foreign objectives. And perform tagging or RFID operations. Manage the Laundry Management System.
Press the right button on machine to wash soiled linens using the desired washing formula. After started the washing operation, record the customer name, load weight and wash time.
While the current load is being washed in the WE or DC machine, prepare the next wash load of soiled linens and get ready an empty laundry bins for storage.
To perform daily/ regular cleaning of the machine and drain filters, lint trap baskets etc.
After linen washed in WE, it has to be manually loaded into the tumble dryer for drying depends on the linen type. Correct and appropriate drying temperature and time need to be used for the linens.
To check and ensure there is no excessive lint build-up in the dryer’s lint filter before start of drying. Clean the filter net should there be a build-up.
To ensure that electric power of all dryers are off and the dryer drums are empty before leaving plant at the end of the day.
To complete and attain the washing schedule / daily wash target as set by the Leader and Operations Supervisor.
Familiar with the risk hazard in the work area, follow all safety rules & regulations to ensure practicing a safe working culture.
To check and ensure there is sufficient starch in the starch tank for dosing in the morning before start work.
To load the soiled linen into the overhead soiled linen bags if required.
To follow duty roster planned by the Supervisor and open to different deployments at various washing sections.
To maintain a clean and tidy working environment.

Able to work in non-air conditioned environment
Need to wear uniform and safety shoes
