Duties and Responsibilities of Project Engineer for Tunnel Construction
1. Report on daily issue to Project Manager / Construction Manager
2. Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids
3. Coordinate with various Government and/ utility authorities for initial site clearance and set up site office
4. Support in the traffic and utility restoration and direction planning
5. Plan, schedule and monitor work progress at site
6. Continuously ensure adherence to planned timeliness
7. Maintain and monitor quality controls. Prepare and submit all daily and/ weekly reports as required
9. Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented on work site
10. Prepare method statements and other submission
11. Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work
12. Liaising with consultants and/ subcontractors engaged in the project
13. Supervising and monitoring the site labor force and monitoring the work of subcontractors
14. Overseeing quality control and safety matters on site and ensuring that regulations are up kept
15. Preparing complete, accurate and timely submittal logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.
16. Accountable for receiving approved submittals and notifying the Project Manager of potential schedule impact.
17. Assist Project Manager by preparing all necessary back up relating to change requests.
18. Schedule all required construction meetings with required personnel, subcontractors, architects and owners
19. Prepare correspondence with client, architect, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers
20. During Construction Phase, proactively manage project to achieve quality, schedule, budget and safety.
21. Plan forecasts resources and manage technical activities
Education Qualification:
Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience / Skill Required
· Minimum 3 years experience
· Good interpersonal and communication skills
· Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, cost control, contract administration, scheduling, safety regulations
· Must be a critical thinker, good listener, good monitor and decision maker
· Have excellent problem solving skills
· Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight datelines.
· Salary will commensurate with experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2,387.36 - $5,771.47 per month
