Key Responsibilities:

Wine Service: Assist with wine service during meal periods, including presenting, opening, and decanting wine at the table. Ensure wines are served at the correct temperature and in the appropriate glassware.

Wine Pairing: Work with the Head Sommelier and service team to recommend wine pairings for guests based on their preferences and menu selections.

Inventory Management: Assist with tracking wine inventory, including restocking wine supplies, ensuring proper storage conditions, and conducting regular stock checks.

Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to provide recommendations and share your passion for wine, ensuring they feel informed and satisfied with their choices.

Qualifications:

Education: Certification from a recognized wine program (WSET Level 1 or 2, Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory, etc.) is preferred, but not required.

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in wine service, ideally within a fine-dining restaurant or luxury hospitality setting.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of wine regions, varieties, and winemaking processes. A passion for expanding wine knowledge is essential.

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate both guests and colleagues.
