Key Responsibilities
Early involvement in NPI activities
Interpret technical information (documents, drawings, and data) and analyse the manufacturing process elements.
Create Bill of Materials structure.
Create manufacturing Work Instructions and other process documents in collaboration with the Program Management, Production and Quality Assurance Teams.
Carry out time studies and update the process cycle times.
Provide timely technical support to the Production Team pertaining to manufacturing process and quality issues.
Engage in DFM and Lean Line Design activities.
Relentlessly explore, evaluate, and review new tools, equipment, processes, etc.
Actively and continuously improve the work processes to improve work efficiency and quality.
Work with Program Management, Production, and Quality Assurance Teams to identify potential process risks and make recommendations to mitigate these risks.
Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Manager and/or Engineering Lead.
Skills & Qualification:
Minimum Diploma in any Engineering field such as Electrical, Mechanical/Mechatronics, Manufacturing/Production or industrial Engineering
Min. 3 years of manufacturing process engineering experience, preferably dealing with wire or cable harness. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Asst. Engineer position
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Basic manufacturing knowledge in cable harness assemblies, plastics and sheet metal preferred
Experienced in the creation Bill of Materials structures
Good knowledge on Solid Edge or SolidWorks preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Lean/Six Sigma certification is desirable
Strong analytical ability
Team player with good communication skills
