What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment.

Your prior work experience and ability to apply your breadth of knowledge will help you adapt the standard methods and procedures. You will help us identify required delivery and process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput and quality. The incumbent will be responsible to maintain site-wide equipment and facilities, achieving high equipment reliability in compliance with cGMP, EHS and regulatory requirements in a cost-effective manner.

He will follow through the support, corrective, predictive & preventive maintenance and inspections.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Manage own time, professional development, and accountable for own results.
  • Prioritize own workflow and assist in prioritizing the workflow of less-experienced colleagues.
  • Make useful recommendations regarding improved machine performance.
  • Follow safety procedures, recommended practices, job safety analysis (JSA), safe work permits and complies with plant safety programs at all time.
  • Coordinate maintenance and project manager activities with production personnel to minimize downtime.
  • Know general shop safety practices, including handling and storage of potentially dangerous equipment.
  • Perform Preventive/Predictive Maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to ensure high reliability and availability.
  • Read and follow equipment schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Analyze equipment and line problems and implement resolutions.
  • Instruct other technicians in the intricacies of assigned machinery and equipment.
  • Perform maintenance activities according to procedures, good engineering practices and cGMP.
  • Support to develop Preventive Maintenance SOP/Procedures and tasks to maintain plant assets.
  • Conduct trouble-shooting and locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using measuring instruments and testing instruments for trouble shooting.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support (IRS/QAR) investigations.
  • Support project construction and commissioning of plant equipment and systems through active involvement in punch listing and commissioning activities; discuss equipment improvement and modifications with Supervisor/Engineers.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment on areas under one’s responsibility.
  • Complete all assigned training on-time and also prior to work implementation.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing desired results/KPIs.

KPI’s include:

  • Safety incident / lost time
  • Equipment uptime %
  • Repeated work orders

Qualifications

  • GCE “O” level, NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering related qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experiences in pharmaceutical, chemical, or petrochemical industries for Senior position and Minimum 2 years for Junior position.
  • Certification in assigned area, if applicable
  • Computer skills, good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Able to demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge in Mechanical Equipment Troubleshooting and Analysis Skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management System, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and Right First Time technique.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment operations and maintenance skill and knowledge with experience in working in a team performance matrix environment.
