Job Description
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will use your technical expertise to support the Facilities department in maintenance and repair tasks on the interior and exterior of IKEA Tampines building.
Your assignment
- Manage and attend to requests relating to mechanical and HVAC systems in the building (e.g. fire protection system, sprinkler, air compressor, chiller checking, AHU checking, etc.)
- Perform investigation and rectification works and update the Supervisor/ Technical Officers.
- Perform and ensure all preventive maintenance works are carried out according to the maintenance programs and procedures.
- Carry out any ad-hoc maintenance or repair work as assigned while ensuring safety first.
- Follow up and provide timely updates to Team leader and Manager on the status of the request.
- Identify and report the need for repairs or breakdown issues.
- Undertake other duties as per assigned.
Your profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facility/building maintenance.
- Possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour.
- Effective team player with good attention to details and strong follow-up skills.
- Strong multi-tasking ability and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Able to commit working on AM & PM shift, including weekends and public holidays.
