Overall Job Responsibility

Enhancing the employment and employability of persons with disabilities is a key outcome for SG Enable. The Service Development/Lifelong Learning (SD/LL) Division works closely with other divisions to bring fresh ideas and build capabilities in the training space to:

  • Provide diverse lifelong learning opportunities for persons with disabilities that support them in their personal growth and professional development
  • Upskill the network of support – including employers, sector professionals such as job coaches and caregivers – around persons with disabilities
  • Facilitate the practice of accessibility and inclusion among training providers
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the implementation strategies for competency frameworks for persons with disabilities, caregivers, employers and disability sector professionals. This includes identifying potential programmes/initiatives where the frameworks could be adopted and promoting the adoption by explaining the structure and content of the frameworks.
  • Engage relevant internal and external stakeholders to obtain buy-in for the adoption of the competency frameworks and seek out collaboration opportunities.
  • Follow-through on the engagements to discuss and advise on the adoption of the competency frameworks and work closely with the stakeholders to develop creative solutioning and address potential challenges. This includes undertaking hands-on tasks such as reviewing and mapping of programmes to the frameworks, propose recommendations on programme and/or process enhancements.
  • Cultivate and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful and sustainable implementation to bring impactful outcomes to the disability sector.
  • Mentor and guide team members, provide clear direction, and foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations that effectively communicate the positive impact of the adoption of the competency frameworks, showcasing the outcomes achieved.
  • Undertake review of the competency frameworks through stakeholder feedback and working with relevant personnel to ensure relevancy.
  • Undertake other roles and responsibilities as and when required.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • Degree or Diploma holder in any discipline including life sciences
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience
  • Applicants who are familiar with the disability sector and training industry would have an added advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of English, able to write and present well
  • Team player with the ability to work under tight deadlines, detail-oriented, adaptable to changing circumstances and resourceful in problem solving
  • Proficient in Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
