As Business Development Manager for Production Workflow, APAC, you will be charged with building Ross’ growing presence across the Asia Pacific region with responsibility for the exciting range of newsroom, automated production control, ingest, playout, MAM, legislative production and storage solutions we offer.

This role will be closely integrated with the global production workflow team, local sales teams, partner network, marketing and others. It is a highly independent role, and candidates will have a large amount of input into strategy both in terms of pipeline growth and product development. They will have responsibility for supporting the greater team’s annual sales targets, as well as specific goals related to regional pipeline growth and win rate.

The role will require significant travel in the region and occasionally globally, visiting customers, partners, attending tradeshows and summits as well as occasional internal meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development Manager

  • Increase pipeline for production workflow products in the APAC region.Maintain relationships with key
  • customers and partners and become a trusted advisor while keeping closely coordinated with the local sales team.
  • Be a conduit for Ross’ production workflow messaging into the region, and a conduit for the region’s requirements back into product management.
  • Translate business requirements into local strategy.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Ross video production workflow solutions and a solid understanding of all other Ross solutions.
  • Remain in sync with the global production workflow business development team to increase efficiency and effectively implement global strategy.
  • Act as a filter to qualify and disqualify opportunities
  • Assist and occasionally lead in the response to RFIs, RFPs etc.
  • Build sales support materials including guides, one-sheets, demo videos and more.
  • Localize content generated in other regions for local use
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support during the pre-sales process, including product demonstrations and proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Work closely with the solutions teams to analyze client requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and solution designs

You should have experience with:

  • Selling or supporting sales of technical solutions
  • Live broadcast production techniques and workflows
  • Newsroom workflows
  • ngest and Playout solutions and workflows
  • Control room operations
  • Production automation
  • Non-linear production workflow
  • Media storage
  • Network architectures for media production environment
  • Cloud architectures
  • You are a clear and confident public speaker
  • Experience growing sales channels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio
  • Excellent English communication skills – written & verbal
  • Fluent in at least one other language relevant to the territory.
  • Able to take complex technical details and convey the information to others in an easy-to-understand manner
