Education required: Undergraduate studying a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering/Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering discipline.
Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a credit-bearing internship.
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English.
Internship period: July to December 2025

What will you do?
Be part of a Global team with diverse engineering specializations. Work alongside with multidisciplinary professionals from different field of expertise and gain valuable insights to Automation and Engineering Technical Services within Global Engineering.
Gain in-depth knowledge on the GSK systems (Quality, Engineering and Validation).
Apply his/her knowledge of engineering and utilize soft skills in engaging different stake holders to deliver assigned projects.
You will lead to drive improvement in standards and compliance across the GSK site network with respect to International and local regulation, GSK recognized standards & industry best practices.
You will support to develop and deliver strategies for Engineering Product contact materials within manufacturing supply chain of sites.
Demonstrate creative mindset on designing solutions through academic research and benchmarking industry best practices to improve the Safety and Quality compliance.
Explore opportunities in digitalization space (MS Power Platform, BI or other dashboarding tools) to enhance optimization and visualization of business and process data.
You will lead research and data analysis to support project decision-making.
You will assist in tracking project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
You will assist in preparing reports and presentations on project status and performance.
What will you learn?
Gain exposure and understanding of the cGMP concepts and compliance to regulatory standards. Gives the candidate a hands-on experience in the capacity of leading a Global Engineering Compliance program in a leading biopharma company.
Acquire knowledge and application of Good Engineering Practice (GEP) and good documentation practices (GDP).
Hands-on experience on Interface with regulatory and professional bodies on product contact/GMP materials engineering matters. Leading data analysis and interpretation of results to influence data-driven decision making.
Gain insight into the engineering change management, quality assurance and validation process in a bio-pharmaceutical industry setting. Interact and collaborate with other business functions such as Global MSAT, Procurement, Operational Engineering, Capital Projects and an appreciation of the equipment’s, spares and manufacturing process steps carried out in the manufacturing plant.
On-the-job learning will be provided with the opportunity to work alongside professionals from Automation and Engineering Technical Services within Global Engineering.
Grow your soft skills relevant to industrial workforce such as communication skills, problem solving & critical thinking skills, Leadership & project management soft skills in engaging different stakeholders from shopfloor to senior management to deliver a project.
What are we looking for?
A keen interest in Manufacturing and Engineering world of biopharma industry.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
Competency in data research, analysis, and interpretation of results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with brilliant English proficiency.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Technical competency in Engineering and Material Science.
Enjoy working and collaboration cross-functionally and across global teams.
Adaptability to change and working under pressure.
Good project management skills and the ability to prioritize.
