Position Overview This role is responsible for maximizing sales by effectively displaying and promoting products in retail stores. The primary objective is to create visually appealing and engaging displays that encourage customer purchases.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Product Placement: Strategically place products on shelves, displays, and endcaps to maximize visibility and drive impulse purchases. Identify areas where display units, diorama sets, and/or advertisements can be effectively arranged.
Visual Merchandising: Develop visually appealing displays that align with the brand’s image and target audience, while considering the reading sequence and customer flow.
Brand Representation: Uphold Lancashire Marketing’s policies and image by demonstrating professionalism and integrity to all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available to meet customer demand.
Pricing and Promotions: Assist in implementing pricing strategies and promotional activities to drive sales.
Sales Reporting: Track sales performance and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Customer Engagement: Interact with customers to provide product information, address inquiries, and enhance their shopping experience.
Store Visits: Conduct regular visits to retail stores to ensure merchandising standards are upheld and identify areas for improvement.
Negotiation: Work with retailers to secure optimal shelf space and promotional opportunities for products.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
Events and Activations: Represent Lancashire Marketing during events and promotional activities, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor to support team efforts.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks, take necessary actions to address them, and escalate concerns through appropriate channels.
Essential Skills:
Visual and Layout Skills: Ability to create visually appealing displays and layouts that capture attention.
Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate product placement, pricing, and adherence to merchandising standards.
Communication: Effectively communicate with retailers, store staff, and customers.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve challenges related to product placement, inventory, and store operations.
Time Management: Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Negotiation: Work collaboratively with retailers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new software. Familiarity with digital communication platforms such as MS Teams, Skype, and WhatsApp is essential.
