Roles & Responsibilities
Essential Functions
1. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of electrical systems and components on vessels.
2. Travel to vessels to perform on-site repairs and maintenance as necessary
3. Diagnose and repair electrical issues on vessels
4. Install new electrical systems and components on vessels
5. Update and retrofit existing electrical systems as required
6. Work with other departments to ensure installations are completed on time and within budget
7. Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and fix electrical problems
8. Utilize various testing equipment and tools to ensure accurate assessments
9. Provide technical support and advice to vessel crew and other departments as needed
10. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing electrical work
11. Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations and standards
12. Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and installations
13. Perform routine housekeeping of worksite to ensure the workshop is kept safe, neat and clean for work
Requirement
Nitec in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or relevant qualification
Minimum 2 years of experience in related area
Demonstrate strong teamwork skills
