Job Description
Understanding of the basic principles and concepts of food safety, such as but not limited to hazard analysis, critical control points, preventive controls, foodborne illnesses, and food defence.
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in food industry (ranging from retails, hospitality and manufacturing) or involvement in food safety audits which covers basic hygiene, brand standard or HACCP audit.
May require travelling if needed/ requested by customer.
Work is mostly preferable to be done during the weekdays
Familiar with the relevant regulations and standards that apply to the food industry such as hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) system, the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), and the international organization for standardization (ISO) standards.
Familiar with the local regulations and standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct effective and thorough audits.
Collect, review, and verify various types of data and information, such as records, documents, procedures, policies, and test results.
Identify, assess, and report any potential or actual food safety risks, non-conformities, or deviations from the established requirements.
Provide constructive feedback, recommendations, and corrective actions to address any food safety issues or gaps.
Education background or sound knowledge in food science, microbiology, nutrition, or a related field.
