Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for servicing existing customers as well as the development of Sales across all freight forwarding product types and across all geographies.
Responsibilities:
· Manage all sales inquiries and manging it through the sales process by preparing proposals to the receipt of the sales order.
· Address customers’ inquiries and generate quotes to meet customer requirements by preparing business proposals and where appropriate propose alternatives and upsell
· Be proactive in informing customers about exceptional events
· Provide timely and accurate response and support to overseas agents
· Closely follow up on previously quoted inquiries to closure
· Follow up on leads and opportunities to add on to the company’s sales pipeline
· Participate in meetings between operations and customer during project execution
· Develop and nurture positive relationship with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty
· Good knowledge of air and ocean freight is compulsory
· Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of applications
· Ensure all customer collections (accounts receivable) are received in a timely manner
· Ensure customer trades and pays within credit terms
· Additional functions mandated by Management
