NIE invites suitable applications for the position of Manager, Dean’s Office with the Office of Education Research (OER). OER oversees the management of education research across the Institute to enhance the Institute’s strategic aims of learning, teaching and research as well as to enhance its standing as a leading international research institution.
Responsibilities
Support in conceptualising and overseeing strategic research plans.
Support in the oversight of the implementation of the 5th tranche of the ERFP to inform strategic research planning.
Liaise with research centres, academic departments and admin units for downstream implementation of strategic research plans.
Provide secretariat support for the organisation and coordination of OER strategic research retreats and strategic research meetings with external stakeholders such as MOE.
Support in the Strategic Research Monitoring & Evaluation such as half yearly and KPI reporting.
Coordinate Strategic Research Reporting, Information, Engagements and Outreach efforts.
Any other duties as assigned by People Manager and Dean, Research.
Requirements
A University degree.
Preferably with 2 to 5 years of working experience in an educational or research institution, with experience in strategic planning and/or corporate communications.
Possess excellent writing, communication and inter-personal skills.
Able to communicate professionally and work with faculty and staff across various administrative units.
Strong numerical skills and meticulous.
Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills.
Able to maintain high standards of confidentiality of sensitive materials.
Able to monitor compliance with policies and uphold governance of policies.
Strong team player with the ability to work independently under pressure and highly adaptable.
Able to learn fast, multi-task and work within tight timelines.
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of MS Office applications and willingness to learn or use new IT software and applications as and when required.
