As an experienced leader in the fintech industry, you will develop and execute the strategy to scale the company's operations for payments business, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency. Reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer, you will bring deep domain expertise in payments and a strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment. You are comfortable driving operational strategy, optimizing processes, managing risk and compliance, and building strong operations and customer experience teams to support the company's growth. Additionally, you will oversee the financial performance for payments operations, ensuring cost efficiency while enhancing service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
What you will do:
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end operations for payments business, ensuring smooth execution, scalability, and continuous process optimization.
- Drive the development and implementation of operational strategies, processes, and tools that improve efficiency and scalability.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, driving continuous innovation in payment processes.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless integration of payment operations with other critical functions, such as Sales, Partnerships, Compliance, Finance, and etc.
- Work closely with product and technical teams to suggest and implement product design enhancements that will streamline and improve operations.
- Lead operational aspects of partnerships with schemes, financial institutions and PSPs, to set up, optimize and maintain infrastructure for the FSMK payments business.
- Manage Compliance Operations to ensure that payment processes adhere to local and international regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of risk management and compliance. Collaborate with the Compliance team to address broader regulatory issues and ensure alignment.
- Manage Finance Operations to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation, settlement, and reporting of all payment transactions, while optimizing cost efficiency and resource allocation.
- Manage Customer Experience Operations to enhance overall service delivery and improve customer satisfaction, ensuring timely resolution of payment-related issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in payments, compliance, finance, and customer service to ensure operational excellence.
What we are looking for:
- 12+ years of experience in financial services or fintech/payments, with a focus on operational leadership, including operational risk and compliance management.
- Deep understanding of financial services, payment systems, and operational risk management.
- Proven experience in both startup/small firm environments as well as larger corporate settings, with a track record of scaling operations.
- Experience building operational structures from the ground up, as well as leading key strategic initiatives within larger organizations.
- Experience managing and leading teams of 15+ people, being a leader of leaders.
- Strong industry network and a track record of collaboration with regulatory bodies.
